SUMMARY OF THE PSYCHOLOGY OF  MONEY

The intention of the author is to help people develop a new way of thinking about prosperity and thereby improve their lives, even in the midst of an uncertain economy. In the process, the author learned more than he could ever have anticipated.
The book hasn't focused on adding another financial strategy, but instead to share answers to the question of what it takes to create an inner sense of abundance and meaning in our financial life. These answers provide tremendous optimism about our prospects.

The Psychology of Wealth discusses is the practices and the culture that should be adopted to make your life fulfilled not only in the case of financial freedom but relationships mental, physical health, and creating a life full of abundance.
It talks about the definition of wealth and how it is created it talks about how to find what is your inner self and how you can express yourself in the best manner that can be converted into getting the desired result you want. Author  used many real life examples in support of his arguments. In further chapters, the author discusses how giving back will bring you more. How to create value and how to understand which phase you are in your life.

Wealth psychology is not a particular financial strategy or method. More is it an inner determination to obtain riches or fulfill one's monitory dreams or desire. Prosperity is not defined by how much money we have accumulated or how little that we have restored Peter's psychology of wealth is a simple and pragmatic call to nurture the qualities and attitude within ourselves that will create a prosperous life. This suggests a commitment to bring more consciousness to all our decisions, large and small.

BOOK REVIEW OF THE PSYCHOLOGY OF MONEY

One of the most beautiful statements that I discovered in the book was defining your relationship with money. Often, we consider a relationship as just being with a partner or with family or friends But we never think about how is our relationship with money - is it good, bad getting worse, getting better?

Further, the book also cleared my perspective towards creating value. How to develop a culture within you and your surroundings that will eventually benefit you. When the author was discussing his family history, what his great grandparents did in order to create a strong foundation for wealth, I was comparing my family. I could clearly see the difference on the points where we are lacking to create a perennial wealth.

Another book that gained my attention was Psychology of Money. It seems both are on similar lines. But I thought the psychology of wealth should be given the preference because wealth is a bigger concept than money I think I made the right decision but I will give my review on psychology of money as well in the following weeks.

QUOTES IN THE PSYCHOLOGY OF WEALTH

  • Don't ask yourself what world needs; ask yourself what makes you come alive. And then go and do that. Because what world needs is people who have come alive.
  • If we all did the things we are capable of doing, we would literally astound ourselves.
  • What lies behind us and what lies before us are all tiny matters compared to what lies within us.
  • In the confrontation between steam and the rock, the stream always wins, not through strength but by perseverance .
  • Price is what you pay. Value is what you get .
  • Living in the moment means letting go of the past and not waiting for the future. It means living your life consciously, aware that each moment you breathe is a gift.
  • We make living by what we get. We make a life by what we gave.
  • We are given one life and the decision is hours whether to wait for circumstances to make up our mind on whether to add, and inactive, to live.
  • There are no accidents where is only some purpose that hasn't yet been understood.
  • We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking with used when we created them.
